JNV chosen for prestigious global school partnership programme

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati, has been selected for the United Kingdom-India Education and Research lnitiative (UKIERI). It is an Educational Exchange Programme between Britain and India. This vidyalaya is one among the six vidyalayas in India selected by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Headquarters, New Delhi. According to this programme the six schools will become one cluster. This cluster schools will have communication with similar type of selected cluster schools in the United Kingdom.

Each school from the cluster in India will exchange ideas, content, projects with the counterpart school in U.K by online communication. The students, teachers and staff will be in constant touch with each other and exchange ideas. There will be visits by principal, staff and students reciprocally between the two clusters/countries. The scheme will be in operation for three years and at the end of the third year a joint project in various subjects will be undertaken by teachers and students of counterpart partnership school.

The scheme is funded by British Council and by some NGOs from U.K. The vidyalaya has been selected for this prestigious programme on the basis of the achievement at National and Inter national Level in the field of innovation in classroom teaching by integrating multimedia and information technology alongwith web and e-learning process.
